Mica is a group of naturally occurring silicate minerals (aka soft flaky rocks) known for their perfect, flaky, sheet-like structure and shiny, pearlescent appearance.

Mica is often ground up into a powder and used in foundations, eyeshadows, pressed powders and lotions to provide a shimmery effect. Natural Mica is a main constituent of "natural makeup" products. 

When added to our Oils, our natural golden Mica makes the oil shimmer like liquid gold and will give your skin a very subtle glow ✨

It's great for those transitioning to make-up free as it helps you feel like you've still got a tiny amount of coverage.

And because our mica sits on top of the skin, rather than being absorbed, the Mica can easily be washed off at the end of the day. Meaning, unlike other substances used to colour some products, your internal organs aren't left to deal with an unfamiliar or toxic compound that's been absorbed by the skin and can't simply be washed off. 

What's more, we source only ethically mined natural Mica to make our Natural Golden Mica, so when you choose to add Mica to your Face & Body Oil you can rest easy knowing it's still 100% Natural. 

Though because we choose not to add any synthetic substances to hold the Mica in suspension in our oils, any added Mica powder will naturally settle at the bottom of your bottle over time. So please be sure to thoroughly shake your bottle before each application to ensure proper distribution of the Mica.
